Job Description: What You’ll Do
As of June 26th, a terrific law firm is seeking a Director of Marketing Communications to join a collaborative Marketing Department within the New York office. This position will involve:
* Developing communication strategies for both internal and external audiences.
* Maintaining and expanding the firm’s media contacts, considering any conflicts of interest when vetting media inquiries.
* Training the attorneys in media/social media etiquette and preparing them for upcoming interviews or client engagements.
* Proactively planning for crisis management as necessary and identifying ways to enhance the firm’s image.
* Overseeing the firm’s relationships with external PR agencies and recommending opportunities for bylined articles, thought leadership, and other firm announcements.
* Collaborating with colleagues to identify emerging trends and relevant speaking engagements.
* Leading and mentoring a talented team of professionals while overseeing and defining the objectives for the firm’s communications programs.
Required Skills:
* 10+ years of legal marketing experience in roles of increasing responsibility.
* Prior experience in a supervisory capacity.
* Demonstrated ability to work well in high-pressure situations.
* A team player and leader with strong communication and project management skills.
* Bachelor’s Degree.
