Job Description: What You’ll Do
A Police Explorer is a young adult who is interested in law enforcement and who volunteers time to worthwhile activities in his/her community. In addition, an explorer learns self-confidence, self-respect, and some hands on experience in dealing with the public.

Police Exploring is for young adults who care about law and order and who want to be where the action is. Law enforcement needs honest and bright young minds to fill its future ranks.

In addition to the training, the explorer will be expected to participate in Explorer Post activities such as:
* Â Parades
* Â Field Trips to Other Agencies
* Â Hiking Trips
* Â Locally Sponsored Youth Safety Runs
* Â Fun Trips to the Beach and Amusement Parks
* Â Regularly Scheduled Meetings
* Â Special Events
* Â An approved Explorer AcademyMust be 14 to 20 years old.
Education: Must maintain a “C” average or better, maintain a good attendance record or have a high school diploma, if applicable.
Conduct: No criminal convictions. Good personal conduct is essential. Applicants must have a positive attitude and obey all laws. A Background Check will be required of all applicants.
