Annual Salary: £39,000

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of vehicle service and repair. Specific duties include:

Vehicle Diagnostics: Conduct detailed inspections and diagnostics on a variety of petrol, diesel, and hybrid vehicles.
Fault Identification: Efficiently identify and resolve technical faults.
Documentation: Accurately complete job cards, reports, and service documentation.
Technical References: Utilize OEM manuals, technical publications, and online resources as required.
Testing & Repairs: Test vehicle parts and systems post-repair to guarantee full functionality.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet manufacturer and safety standards.
Work Environment: Maintain a safe, organized, and clean workshop area.
Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to UK Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with a team of technicians, service advisors, and managers.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians and apprentices when necessary.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience as an automotive technician, with at least 2 years at Master Technician level.
Certification: Recognized Master Technician qualification (e.g., IMI Level 4 or equivalent).
Brand Experience: Preferably experienced in a major automotive brand dealership environment (e.g., Ford, BMW, Toyota, etc.).
Engine Expertise: Strong proficiency in diesel, petrol, and hybrid powertrains.
Driving License: Valid UK driving license or an international driving permit (conversion assistance provided if applicable).

Ability to mentor junior staff and command professional respect.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
