Introduction
Turnkey Africa is seeking a Product Business Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team in Nairobi, Kenya. This role offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring business analysts to gain hands-on experience and contribute to impactful projects. As a Product Business Analyst Intern, you will work closely with both business and technical teams to ensure the successful execution of the TurnQuest product roadmap. This position will enable you to hone your analytical skills, work on real-world business solutions, and bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The role is onsite and involves significant interaction with stakeholders, making it ideal for individuals who enjoy collaboration and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
As a Product Business Analyst Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that business needs are well understood, analyzed, and effectively translated into practical solutions. Your key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the TurnQuest product team in developing and promoting the TurnQuest product roadmap.
- Modelling the organization’s current and future states in relation to the TurnQuest product, identifying opportunities, risks, and impacts.
- Collaborating with the TurnQuest product and development teams to create and communicate solution options.
- Contributing to the formulation of the Business Case and organizing Benefits Assessments.
- Facilitating clear and timely communication between business and technical stakeholders throughout the project.
- Ensuring that requirements are well-defined, analyzed, and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Managing the development, distribution, and approval of all communication related to business requirements.
- Supporting the business in modeling the implications of the TurnQuest product’s evolution and ensuring seamless integration into live use.
- Tracking business requirements to ensure they are met through to business acceptance.
- Liaising with the Business Visionary to organize support for the solution during its implementation.
- Ensuring that non-functional requirements are achievable and met during the project.

- Degree-Level Qualification in information technology, computer science, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in Business Analysis (added advantage).
- Knowledge of Insurance and Accounting (beneficial for understanding specific project needs).
- Understanding of Software Development Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other methodologies.
- Proficiency in Business Process Modelling: Ability to visualize and optimize business processes.
- Demonstrated Ability to Define Requirements: Experience in designing, configuring, and testing software products.
