This role is onsite, where you will directly engage with guests and contribute to our daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Security Guard
- Monitor hotel premises to ensure safety and security of guests and staff.
- Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, access control systems, and alarms.
- Respond promptly to any alarms or emergencies, including fire or medical situations.
- Conduct routine patrols throughout the hotel and surrounding areas.
- Report any suspicious activities or safety hazards to the management.
- Assist in managing crowd control during events and high-traffic periods.
- Enforce hotel policies and regulations to maintain order.
2. Restaurant Waiter
- Provide top-tier customer service to guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages promptly.
- Assist in setting up tables, chairs, and buffet stations before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
- Operate the POS system for efficient billing and order management.
- Resolve any guest concerns or complaints professionally.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service delivery.
3. Sous Chef
- Lead kitchen operations for buffet, catering, and banquet services.
- Develop innovative menus that align with current trends and customer preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
- Mentor and train junior kitchen staff for consistent quality and efficiency.
- Oversee the purchase and inventory of kitchen supplies.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet guest expectations and dietary requirements.
- Write and manage routine reports, purchase orders, and kitchen correspondence.
4. Bar Waiter (3 Positions)
- Serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Assist in managing bar inventory and POS operations for accurate billing.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all supplies are stocked.
- Engage with guests to provide a welcoming and personalized experience.
- Prepare and serve drinks following established recipes and customer preferences.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
5. Hotel Marketer
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance the hotel’s presence in the hospitality market.
- Engage with potential clients to convert inquiries into bookings.
- Collaborate with other departments to create attractive promotional packages.
- Monitor market trends to adjust strategies for optimal results.
- Prepare detailed marketing reports and presentations.
- Attend industry events and represent the hotel professionally.
- Work both in-office and in-field to build relationships with potential clients and partners.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Security Guard
- Education: At least a Higher Secondary Education certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
- Skills: Proficient in spoken English and Swahili, strong communication skills, knowledge of basic security practices including fire safety and first aid.
- Licensing: A valid license from a recognized security regulatory authority is a plus.
- Attributes: Ability to work effectively under pressure, willingness to work both day and night shifts.
2. Restaurant Waiter
- Education: Diploma in a hospitality course.
- Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role, experience with POS systems.
- Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken, strong interpersonal and communication skills, customer service oriented.
3. Sous Chef
- Education: Culinary Degree or Diploma, Food Hygiene & Safety Certification.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in buffet, catering, and banquet operations.
- Skills: Ability to write routine reports, manage a team, excellent customer service skills, experience in multi-outlet operations.
4. Bar Waiter
- Education: Diploma in Hospitality preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role, must be 25 years of age or older.
- Skills: Proficient with POS systems and inventory management, strong interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of mixology.
- Attributes: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail and cleanliness, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
5. Hotel Marketer
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Marketing or Business.
- Experience: 5 years in a hospitality institution of similar standing.
- Skills: Strong reporting skills, customer conversion skills, knowledge of the hospitality market.
- Attributes: Goal-oriented, attention to deadlines, ability to work both in office and field.
