Salary and Benefits

Hourly Wage: £21.97 per hour

Summer Schedule: 10 hours per day
Winter Schedule: 9 hours per day

Key Responsibilities

As a Transmission Line Worker, your responsibilities will include:

Complying with all UK Health & Safety regulations.
Demonstrating a strong working knowledge of UK electrical regulations specific to Transmission Lines.
Performing duties in a safe, professional, and disciplined manner.
Completing rigging tasks efficiently.
Carrying out blocking (dressing) or clipping-in (suspension) tasks on tension and suspension towers.
Handling spacering tasks, including the safe use of spacer trolleys.
Applying earthing schemes (add-leads) to Overhead Line (OHL) conductors.
Safely using platforms, ladders, or pladers.
Conducting jointing, such as socks, stockings, and permanent joints.
Undertaking jumping tasks and in-situ steel replacement.
Interpreting schematic diagrams and technical drawings accurately.
Participating as a strong, collaborative team member.
Upholding a hard-working, can-do attitude and dynamic personality.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications and experience:

Mandatory Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in high-voltage Transmission Line projects.
Proven ability to work at height under strict safety protocols.
Experience in:

Maintenance of HV Transmission Lines (110KV and above)
High Voltage Overhead Line (OHL) Tension/Stringing
Tower assembly and erection using a Crane/Derrick (Falcon)

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

Formal, relevant technical qualifications in the electrical sector.
Experience operating Puller/Tensioner, Erection, or Tractor Winch machinery.
Possession of a valid UK car driving license (Conversion support is provided for international applicants).
