Hiring Department Summary
The Marketing and Communications department at Africa Health Business is essential in promoting AHB’s projects and initiatives. This department ensures that AHB’s branding and messaging are consistently applied across all communication channels. The team is responsible for developing and managing external and internal communications, supporting the firm’s strategic objectives while ensuring alignment with AHB’s vision.
General Position Summary
As the Web and Graphics Designer at AHB, you will take ownership of creative designs that span both digital and print media. You will collaborate closely with a diverse set of stakeholders to produce high-quality, engaging designs that reflect AHB’s brand identity. From managing the website’s design and architecture to ensuring the seamless delivery of graphic content, your role will require a mix of creativity and technical skills to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative creative concepts, designs, and layouts for both electronic and print materials including reports, presentations, and web pages.
- Manage all design projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and high-quality output.
- Maintain AHB’s branding consistency across all communication materials.
- Optimize AHB’s websites, enhancing design, introducing interactive features, and improving overall navigation and user accessibility.
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements and deliver design solutions that meet their needs.
- Oversee the backup, maintenance, and security of AHB’s website and subsites. This includes managing all databases to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Liaise with the Marketing Manager to ensure alignment with AHB’s marketing strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience (at least 2 years) in WordPress development (Mandatory).
- Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe InDesign and Illustrator (Mandatory).
- Strong ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality output.
- Comprehensive knowledge of production, pre-press, print technologies, and web-based technologies.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on user-centered design.
