Job Description: What You’ll Do
The Vice President, Human Resources oversees all aspects of the Human Resources function in a collaborative work environment that values flexibility and a team-oriented culture. This leader will foster a dynamic workplace focused on talent, culture, and operational excellence while balancing strategic HR leadership with hands-on HR operations.
The ideal candidate will develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals, lead HR operations across talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, compensation, benefits, and international HR functions, and serve as a key advisor to senior leadership. This role also includes responsibilities for internal and external communications, employer brand management, and corporate communications.
This role is full-time onsite, with travel required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
* Serve as a strategic and hands-on HR partner to leadership on organizational development, succession planning, and change management.
* Implement and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and compliance with federal, state, and international labor laws.
* Manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, training, and offboarding.
* Oversee talent acquisition strategies for full-time employees, interns, and contractors; manage recruiting processes and partnerships.
* Expected to recruit and hire an internal recruiter to support global hiring initiatives.
* Provide leadership on human capital elements of acquisitions, including cultural integration, organizational design, and talent planning.
* Address employee relations matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and conflict resolution skills.
* Administer and optimize employee benefits programs, including plan design, enrollments, renewals, funding, and risk management.
* Lead HRIS system administration to ensure data integrity and process efficiency.
* Oversee compensation structures, market wage analyses, and compliance with relevant regulations.
* Design and execute employee engagement and retention initiatives.
* Lead continuous process improvements across all HR functions.
* Research and recommend incentive compensation plans based on market trends.
* Monitor labor market and economic trends to ensure competitive compensation and benefits.
* Manage international payroll and benefits programs across multiple regions, and lead a strategic initiative to evaluate and streamline global payroll processes, including vendor assessments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree and/or HR certifications preferred).
* 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
* Executive-level talent acquisition.
* Experience supporting highly compensated, variable pay employee populations, especially white-collar traders.
* Exposure to commodities trading, global workforce, and international operations strongly preferred.
* High emotional intelligence and advanced coaching, consulting, and facilitation skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication abilities.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with key influencers and stakeholders across international teams.
* Self-directed, nimble, flexible, and comfortable operating in ambiguity and shades of gray.
* Bold, confident communicator capable of navigating complex, fast-paced environments.
* Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and operate with a sense of urgency.
